SYDNEY RANKIN
Co-Chair
sydneyrankin@tedxunb.com

Originally from St.Margarets Bay Nova Scotia, Sydney is a third year Economics & Medicinal Chemistry student who’s passion for living a limitless life drew her to TEDxUNB 3 years ago as a delegate - and she hasn’t looked back since. With a community so rich in innovative youth, she believes there is no better place than UNB to be outrageously ambitious and makes an effort to radiate enthusiasm in every endeavour. Her ambitions have lead her around the world volunteering in rural India, but she currently keeps engaged on campus through her role as AVP Communications on the UNBSU Executive and as a Community Advisor in Residence. Incredibly passionate about empowering students to use their voice, celebrate our diversity, and enact radical change; TEDxUNB has proven to be one of her most meaningful experiences to date. In her spare time Syd enjoys taking a hot yoga class, lacing up her skates, and feeding a necessary caffeine addiction she has no intention of quitting.

Hailing from Riverview, New Brunswick, MacKenzie is a sarcastic and witty girl who loves to take part in life changing opportunities such as TEDxUNB. In her 3rd year of her business degree at UNB, MacKenzie will graduate with a major in Human Resources and a minor in Psychology in May of 2020. She’s a people person, an adventurer, a hardcore book nerd, and a lover of the outdoors. For the second year in a row, MacKenzie holds the role of VP Internal for the Business Administration Undergraduate Society and considers the BAUS as her family away from home. Mackenzie’s aspirations are to complete her yoga teacher training in a foreign country, become a published author, and obtain her PhD in Human Resources. If she could give everyone at UNB (and everywhere) one piece of advice it would be to never stop learning. Whether through school, people, experiences, or travel, learning will help you better understand our world and yourself - so get as much of it as you can.
