Originally from Ghana, West Africa, Herbert is a junior in Joy Kidd House majoring in Accounting and concentrating in Finance. Aside from his work as Co-Chair at TEDxUNB, he also serves as the Vice President Internal for the UNB Student Union where he has advocated for a mid-term break in the Fall for undergraduate students to stay mentally healthy. He has also implemented a week celebration of Wellness at the University of New Brunswick. He is also, at the moment creating a campaign entitled “Breaking Stereotype Project” at the university to combat bigotry and to debunk false stereotypes amongst marginalised groups particularly international students at UNB. Herbert loves music particularly RnB and Hip Hop and can be often found talking about how great Ghana ,where he hails from, is.
Hailing from Fredericton, NB, Richard has always been excited by the endless possibilities of imagination. Entering his third year as a third year mathematics student at the University of New Brunswick, Richard is thrilled to help launch TEDxUNB. Richard believes strongly in the idea of potential; that ideas can spark people to create change in the community. In other areas of the UNB community, Richard is also the graphic designer of the UNB Student Union and the president of the UNB Math Society. During his spare time, Richard enjoys playing music, cooking, badminton and Kendrick Lamar.
